What “Good Cop RP” Looks Like Here
Police roleplay is not about winning. It’s about creating believable scenes, making reasonable decisions, and keeping RP flowing. The best officers know when to de-escalate, when to investigate, and when to let stories breathe.
Professional Conduct
- Stay calm and in-character during conflict.
- No ego policing, no baiting, no OOC lectures.
- Follow chain-of-command and staff direction.
- Use clear comms and realistic radio traffic.
Fair, Playable Scenes
- Give suspects options and time to react.
- Use reasonable force aligned with threat.
- Prioritize investigation over instant arrests.
- Don’t force outcomes—let RP decide.
Consistency & Responsibility
- Show up prepared (loadout, comms, policy).
- Report major incidents cleanly.
- Protect server culture: serious RP first.
- Know and follow Police & EMS rules.
Roles & Focus Areas
Depending on staffing and community needs, officers may focus on patrol, traffic enforcement, investigations, or community presence. The goal is always the same: credible scenes and believable consequences.
Patrol
Calls for service, scene control, and realistic presence without over-policing.
Traffic
Stops and pursuits with clear escalation rules, safety-first decisions, and strong RP communication.
Investigations
Case-building, interviews, evidence handling, and long arcs that create meaning beyond one night.
Community Policing
Public events, outreach scenes, and building server-wide relationships that reduce OOC issues.
